In late 2025, Luxair required multiple planned engine changes across a B737 fleet in Luxembourg as part of an aircraft reconfiguration programme ahead of sale, requiring specialist experience, continuous coverage and delivery within a fixed timeframe.
Bostonair deployed two specialist teams over 10 days, providing 24/7 support and completing eight engine changes across four aircraft. Each team included two B1 engineers and three experienced mechanics, with Bostonair also managing airport access, security clearances, travel, accommodation, and local coordination.
All planned engine changes were completed on schedule with no delays, reinforcing Luxair’s confidence in Bostonair’s ability to deliver complex, high-Volume engine change programmes.
Following the success of the previously planned programme, an unexpected engine fault was identified on a separate B737, creating an AOG situation that required immediate specialist support.
Bostonair rapidly mobilised a specialist AOG team over a weekend, with two B2 engineers and three mechanics on site within 48 hours. The team worked across two shifts to replace the engine and complete the required inspections within the customer’s operational window.
The aircraft was returned to service ahead of the customer’s deadline, minimising disruption to operations. The successful recovery led to further engine work being entrusted to Bostonair, demonstrating the value of proven delivery and rapid response when unplanned events occur.
