The A320 General Familiarisation (ATA 104 Level 1 equivalent) course provides an overview of the aircraft’s construction, systems, and equipment, equivalent to approximately 30 hours of classroom tuition. Learning modules cover the major systems and structures, including their normal functions, key components, and typical interfaces.

Our A320 CEO/NEO General Familiarisation course provides participants with a structured introduction to the aircraft, its systems, and its operation at a general level (ATA Spec 104 Level 1). It is suitable for personnel who require an appreciation of the aircraft’s design and functionality but do not need to perform hands-on maintenance tasks. Delivered fully online, the programme offers the flexibility to study at your own pace while still achieving the depth and quality of a classroom-based course, with modern e-learning techniques and voice over.

Download SyllabusA Level 1 Gen Fam course provides a basic overview of an aircraft type, including its structure, systems, and layout. It is designed to give learners an awareness-level understanding of how the aircraft operates, without going into maintenance or troubleshooting detail.
No, but it depends on the context.
Gen Fam does not need to be Part-147 Approved if:
- the course is: provided for non-certifying personnel (planning, logistics, cabin, records, etc.); delivered as company internal training for awareness; used for familiarisation only with no CoR outcome
Gen Fam should be Part-147 Approved if:
- the course is delivered as part of an approved training program for EASA Part-66 licence holders, used to meet regulatory training requirements for certifying staff, or if you want to issue a Part-147 Certificate of Recognition (COR) (e.g. for Part-66 AML endorsement).
Yes — you will receive a Certificate of Completion. This certificate is suitable for internal training records and professional development, but not for licensing.
No prior experience is required. The course is designed to be accessible to both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Level 1: Overview and system awareness
- Level 3: Detailed maintenance, troubleshooting, and certification.
Level 3 is required for licensed engineers, while Level 1 is suitable for support and non-certifying roles.
