Course Description

This comprehensive online training provides essential knowledge on Fatigue Risk Management (FRM) for both EASA Part-145 maintenance organisations and flight operations personnel, ensuring compliance with relevant EASA regulations, including 145.A.47, ORO.FTL.110, and ORO.FTL.120, along with their associated AMC/GM guidance materials.

The course is offered in two tailored variants to meet the specific needs of different roles in aviation:

  • Maintenance Variant – For personnel working under EASA Part-145, focusing on fatigue risks in maintenance environments.

  • Flight Operations Variant – For flight crew and operational staff, addressing fatigue in the context of commercial air transport operations.

Designed to enhance awareness, identification, and management of fatigue-related risks, this course helps improve safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance across both maintenance and operational environments.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Human Factors, Fuel Tank Safety and EWIS training lasts 2 years. If an initial certificate is held and the training is being completed for the two-year renewal then the Continuation Courses are sufficient.
(NOTE: Some organisations require a full continuation of training so if there is a large enough gap between certificates expiring and being renewed, the initial training may be needed again. This can differ based on each individual Company’s Quality Procedures.)

1. EWIS TG1&2 – Defined as being for “Qualified staff performing EWIS maintenance” & “Qualified staff performing maintenance inspections on EWIS.”
(E.g. B2 Engineers, Electrical Engineers/Inspectors, Avionic Engineer/Inspectors)
NOTE: Some organisations require B1 engineers who are signing-off aircraft to be TG1&2 trained

2. EWIS TG4&5 – Defined as being for “Qualified staff performing general maintenance/inspections not involving wire maintenance (LRU change is not considered wire maintenance)” & “Qualified staff performing other engineering or planning work on in-service aeroplane”
(E.g. A Licenced Engineers, B1 Licenced Engineers, Sheet Metal Workers (SMW), Mechanics)

3. EWIS TG6 – Defined as being for “Other service staff with duties in proximity to electrical wiring interconnection systems”
(E.g. (but not limited to): Aeroplane cleaners, cargo loaders, re-fuelling staff, lavatory servicing personnel, de-icing personnel, push back personnel, etc.)

4. EWIS TG7 – Defined as being for “Flight Deck Crew”

5. EWIS TG8 – Defined as being for “Cabin Crew”
