This course focuses on ensuring all staff are adequately trained and approved on all equipment used, including the provision of essential refresher training.
Operators must have a permit authorising them to operate equipment and to carry out the associated functions.
The issue of equipment approval/authorisation is the responsibility of the Training Department of the respective ground handler.
This should be controlled by the airport manager through contracted handling agents, who should be periodically audited (training programmes and Operational Performance).
