What is a DAQCP Audit?

A DAQCP audit is a structured inspection of an aircraft de/anti-icing service provider. The auditor reviews whether the organisation has the people, procedures, equipment and controls required to deliver de/anti-icing services safely and consistently.

This typically includes reviewing manuals, training and qualification records, inspecting de/anti-icing vehicles and facilities, checking how fluids are received, stored, protected and controlled, and assessing communication, supervision and quality-management processes. The auditor may also observe de/anti-icing activities to confirm that documented procedures are being followed in practice.

The operation is assessed against the DAQCP inspection checklist, which is based on current SAE Global Standards. Any gaps or safety concerns are recorded in an inspection report, helping airlines and service providers understand where corrective action or further improvement is required. Safety-critical findings are promptly communicated to affected member airlines.

Through the DAQCP Pool, participating airlines can access and share these reports, giving them greater oversight of de/anti-icing providers across their networks while reducing repeated audits of the same operation.
