A guide to the recruitment process

If you’ve seen a vacancy through Bostonair that interests you, or you’d like to register for future opportunities, we understand how important it is to understand the process you will undertake to successfully start your new role. Whether this is your first time using a recruitment business or you’re a seasoned professional, we’ve created this handy guide to keep you informed and up to date with the process so you’ll know what to expect…

1. Initial contact and registration…

Once you’ve sent your CV to us, either for a specific role or for future opportunities, the first part of the process is to register you on our candidate system.

We will normally arrange a quick call with you to discuss the contract that you are interested in, and any others we think fit your profile. As part of the registration we will also invite you to send in some of your qualifications and documents so that we can properly create your profile.

2. Matching your skillset…

Once you are in the system there are a number of ways we can place you in contracts. You can choose to apply directly, respond to our mails, or a Consultant may call you directly to ask about your availability.

If you meet the criteria for a specific contract and want to proceed further, we’ll let you know all the details and may request some more information that’s specific to the role, as well as addressing any questions or concerns.

3. Submitting to the client…

Once we’re happy that you fit the role, we will include you and your profile in our submissions to the client. At all points, the Bostonair team will be on hand to provide you with advice and updates about the application process. It is then up to the client to review your application and take it further.

If the client requests interviews for the role, our expert team will make sure you are fully prepared, confident and know what to expect. We’ll arrange calls and interviews as best as we can to fit around all parties.

4. Rejection…

If you’re not successful in an application to the client, then don’t worry! We will let you know as soon as possible and work to try and find another contract for you. If there isn’t anything available right away then we will store your details on our industry-leading candidate management system, meaning we can keep in contact with you for the future and any opportunities that might interest you.

5. Acceptance…

If you are accepted onto a contract, we’ll make you an official offer and provide you with some information about what it’s like working with Bostonair, including the benefits.

As you can imagine, each contract is different, but we will be here to provide you with as much support as possible to make sure you understand the process. We can help with anything from explaining different contracts or payroll structures, to arranging travel and accommodation if its required. We’ll also help to arrange any airside passes needed for the contract.

It is worth noting though that throughout the process we will likely need your help also to get the right documentation. Working with Bostonair is a partnership that involves us both working together to be successful.

6. On-the-job support…

Whilst on contract, we will be available to guide you through working with Bostonair as a contractor. Your Recruiter/ Account Manager will be your first point of call and if they cant help you, they will know who can.

We also have on-site support in some areas, either via our European Relationship Manager, or some experienced Bostonair contractors that help us to coordinate things on site, and even arrange Technical training courses where relevant.

7. Finishing your contract…

At the end of your contract, we will help you to “wrap up” and make sure you are ready to leave the contract. We’ll also provide suggestions for other roles we have available so you can easily move from contract to contract.

We look forward to working with you soon!
