Course Description

This online training provides essential awareness of Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS) for personnel whose work may bring them into proximity with aircraft wiring, ensuring compliance in line with EASA regulations under Annex III to ED Decision 2008/007/R (AMC 20-22).

  • Designed to meet the training requirements of Part-21, Part-145, and Part-M, this course enhances safety awareness and best practices to prevent inadvertent EWIS damage.

The course serves as an acceptable means of compliance with:
  • 21.A.145 and 21.A.245 of Part-21,
  • 145.A.30 and 145.A.35 of Part-145.
  • M.A.706 of Part-M.

Who Should Take This Course?

EASA defines EWIS Target Group 7 (TG7) as: Personnel whose duties occasionally bring them into contact with aircraft wiring but who do not directly perform EWIS-related tasks, this includes managers, administrative staff, transport personnel, and support staff working near aircraft. Training focuses on general EWIS awareness and safety precautions.

By completing this course, participants will:

✅ Gain a basic understanding of EWIS and its role in aircraft safety
✅ Identify wiring components and understand potential risks
✅ Follow best practices to prevent accidental wiring damage
✅ Recognize the importance of compliance with EWIS safety guidelines
✅ Comply with EASA-mandated training obligations for EWIS awareness
